At the beginning of the 13th century, the Jamonières passed into the Juchault family following the marriage of Christophe Juchault, Lord of Lorme, of La Moricière, of Monceau, of Chaffault and of Pied-Pain, with Geneviève Marquise Prudence Bouhier of La Vérie, daughter of Charles Gabriel Bouhier de La Vérie and Renée Gabard.
After the Revolution the estate belonged to Louis Marie Juchault des Jamonières,
which also owns that of Clermont
Les Jamonières passed, in 1855, to the heirs of Léon Arthur Patas d'Illiers and Laurence Mathilde Juchault des Jamonières.
Arthur Antonin JUCHAUT, baron of JAMONIÈRES,
had this castle built in 1881 on a plot of land in the estate, owned by the family. (It had been destroyed during the revolution)
* In 1882, the shipowner Fernand Crouan, sponsor of Belem, acquired the estate,
which passes by succession to his son René Crouan.
Thereafter the Padiou family will own until 2020.
In 2020, the castle is bought by theOMEFI group.
The castle will become a private mansion with its natural domain and its vineyards under the name CHÄTEAU DES MARAIS.
